i'm dreaming

of a WHITE Christmas....
white. as in baptism white. ha. ha
#lamemissionjokes
yeeeee. JACKIE GOT BAPTIZED YESTERDAY.
and it was probably the best baptism i've ever been to!
there were soooo many people in attendance, we had to move into the chapel
and SO many of them were non-members!
it was a BEAUTIFUL, moving, uplifting baptism
jackie bore the sweetest testimony
the spirit was so strong
she's already dreaming up mission plans for next year.
I. LOVE. HER.
and her mom.
and her sis, marcela.
who i TOTALLY met over a year ago...in Burley!
her sister came into town late saturday night and as soon as they walked in
we said hi & they go, "we've met you! didn't you serve in Burley?!!!!"
hahah it was awesome. as soon as they brought that up, I instantly remembered meeting them in a restaurant last year and dying over what a beautiful couple they were. when i met them last year, they told me their story and how she joined the church and they were sealed in the temple just the year before-- NEVER in my wildest thoughts would I have thought-- "okay...see ya in a YEAR at your sister's baptism?!?!???" hahaha God is just so good. I LOVE that He is in the details. I can just see Him mapping that out and thinking, ya...that's gonna make them happy...

anyway. i couldn't help but think of how HAPPY this mission has made me
how much it has helped me grow and BECOME a little better.
and how much i have LOVED siding up with the Savior and proclaiming His truth
i love love love this time of year.
i love the feeling of love for one another that FLOODS the earth
i love our Savior
I KNOW HE LIVES
& i'm so grateful for the LIGHT and the HOPE that He brought into the world.
CANNOT WAIT TO SKYPE YA'LL ON THURSDAY.
get ready, yo.

'tis the season!

CAN I NEVER LEAVE JEROME? PLEASE?
i loooooove it here!!
i don't want to leave next transfer!
start praying for a christmas miracle lol
we are SO busy. like up to our brains busy! meeting our new ward and setting up appointments with our investigators-- our next free evening apt slot is SUNDAY. we are booked a week out! haha. it's awesome. we are talking to as many people as we can and trying to help our investigators progress. we have had 10 people at church the last two weeks-- BUT having a hard time setting dates b/c of parent permission, holiday busyness, flakey on apts, waiting for mawwage or on probation! bah! but i love them all!

but let me tell you about miss JACKIE. she is my little mexi sister. srlsy.

we have been over to her house multiple times this week to teach and she is SO awesome. we met her a couple weeks ago... she is a senior in High School and is just on fuego?! (they're helping me with my spanish lawlz). her mom is one of my favorite people. she is this AMAZING little woman who is so close to the spirit and filled with so much love... & she makes BOMB spanish food! she took the missionary lessons like 15 years ago and loves the church and knows it's true but won't get baptized with out her husband...who is staunch Catholic. she is so excited that Jackie is becoming Mormon and really wants us to teach her son, too. he's a junior and not too interested....yet! they are the best and i'm so excited for Jackie! she's already thinking about a mission! haha! she's getting baptized a few days before Christmas and it's going to be beautiful! i LOVE her!
sister draper is awesome. she shared her story with me this week and ah! it just inspires me to slow down and be more aware of others and just LOVE them. she bears a pure and simple testimony to everyone we talk to and it's beautiful.
we have the most insane week this week.
one exchange.
THREE christmas parties.
one being our mission talent show/ devotional.
ahhhhh. its going to be the best!

aaaand i just talked this guy into selling us a 6' tree for TEN BUCKS
#missionaryperks
tooooootally pulled the "i'm so far from home" card.
sold.
hahahaha im so happy about it!!!
i've never bought a tree before lolol
its sitting in a bucket of water with a beach towel around it #classy
we are going to decorate it now!
'TIS THE SEASON.
i lOVE this time of year. i LOVE our Savior. i LOVe declaring His gospel. i LOve this place, these people! i LOVE being a missionary!

sister ramsey

ps HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYLEE SUE. miss that dog!

Monday, December 1, 2014

let us cheerfully do all things

PEOPLE, people, people
"name that movie"
"McLintock?!"
^^ miss you dad

another crazy week.
doesn't every missionary say that?
haha we didn't stop all week.
sis walker left me on mon (saddest day ever)
i was on an exchange all of Tuesday.
got Sister Draper on Wednesday-
apts every hour all day...
Thanksgiving all day Thursday.
SO MUCH FOOD.
zone meeting on Friday. planning.
moved apartments on Saturday.
made our rounds to invite people to church
taught a few lessons
invited people to be baptized
help set up a Christmas tree for some less actives in our ward!
its here! christmas time is here! and i am so happy about it.
....and then...
Sundays are the best days.
we had a crazy day yesterday...
trying to meet our new ward and get things figured out.
spent the day feeling slightly overwhelmed at everything we need to do
and all the people we need to go meet...

BUT yesterday, once we finally got home...
i was feeling antsy & I jumped into the scriptures
because I didn't get my personal study time
(#millionhoursofchurchmeetings)

& I read section 123 of the Doctrine and Covenants and reflected on how grateful I am to be here. I've said that a lot... but this woman made a comment in church yesterday that got me thinking about my time as a missionary and how it's allowed me to serve. she talked about how OVERWHELMED she gets every time we hear about "Hastening the Work" in church...her voice shook as she expressed, "what more can I do?" Without any judgement towards her, I thought a lot about what she said.
I'm so so grateful for this time in my life I have to give everything to the Lord. all my time, talents, and attention. its stretching me and showing me how fun it is to side up with and serve with Him. I'm grateful to have this time to serve in this capacity... I know it won't be mine forever but I want to make every moment count. In 123 the prophet is writing a letter to the Saints from Liberty Jail about their duty and I just love it.
11 And also it is an imperative duty that we owe to all the rising generation, and to all the pure in heart
12 For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it
13 Therefore, that we should waste and wear out our lives in bringing to light all the hidden things of darkness, wherein we know them; and they are truly manifest from heaven—
14 These should then be attended to with great earnestness....
17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.
I hope you "cheerfully do all that lies in your power" to share the message of our Savior.
no act of kindness is too small- this is the perfect time of year to reach out
and lift and love those around you and share THE GIFT of our Savior.
I know Christ lives.
I know His gospel has been restored to
BLESS AND LIGHT UP THE WORLD.
may it light up your heart this Christmas season.
love love love you all

SOLO DOLO

okay okay
WHERE TO START?!

fiiiiirst off...
i'm so sorry emails have been few and far between.
every time i leave an area
i have new people to stay in touch with
and emails are the only thing people do anymore? lol
...that almost seems almost outdated, even.

regardless,
i'll try and be better
TRANSFERS are happening this week
so so so so sad texas walker is leaving me
we have been so busy
AND JUST SO HAPPY
she is going home to gilbert, arizona
sooooo i told her she has to go to Jordan's wedding reception in my place!
{ps BABE COUPLE.}
congrats Jordan! I am soooooo happy for you two!
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE GETTING MUUUUURIED!
LOVED the announcement and can't wait to meet Madi!

Thing have been so good in Jerome.
remember how I said Walker was pushing me outside my comfort zone with music?
well this week, she volunteered us to SING A DUET IN SACRAMENT
it was the prettiest arrangement of "Did You Think To Pray?"
nooooooot gonna lie.....
our voices blend really well and we sounded good
but if singing in sacrament wasn't enough...
HOMEGIRL STRAIGHT UP STOPPED SINGING ON THE SECOND VERSE
& I SANG A FREAKING SOLO o_0
hahahahahahaha i could've killed her
but to try and keep me from getting mad she sang my praises
i love her.
she played two piano/cello pieces in the other sacrament meetings
it was beautiful. she is so talented.

JAKE GOT BAPTIZED THIS WEEK.
this is has been a looooooong time coming.
it was the most eventful baptism, ever.
LOTS of nonmembers came
his daughter ripped her toe off while her dad was changing
hahahaha that was fun.
blood EVERYWHERE.
aaand there was a wedding reception going on simultaneously
so there may or may not have been John Legend and Chris Brown playing in the background?
....not mad?
I'm so proud of him. It was a cool weekend for his family.
He got the priesthood yesterday and is going to be baptizing his daughter in Twin on Saturday!
seeing the Gospel bless and unite families is the sweetest blessing on the mission.
we are working with so many people right now
aaand we just picked up ANOTHER ward
so now we cover three and its INSANE.
plus exchanges with all of our sisters. ah!
sister draper is going to be joining me this week!
she is a sweetheart...
i'm excited for all that's going to happen this transfer!
its HOLIDAY TIME.

...speaking of.
there is a new video coming out
WATCH IT.
the church is doing this huge campaign called
"HE is the GIFT"
and i hope it floods the earth.
we got a preview in our leadership meeting this week
ahhhh its amazing!
you'll read all about it in the Ensign! #sharethegift
the church is true!
this is the best time of year.
i count my blessings every day
that i'm HERE.
sharing the Savior's message
at this time. to these people. in this place.

i'll be missing you all this week!
eat lots of fried turkey for me!
we'll be party hoppin' all day

LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!
one month till our skype sesh

love you better

well i was super excited to come to the library and email all of you...
because jerome is seriously the best...
a little too excited, i guess, because
I JUST GOT A $160.00 TICKET FOR SPEEDING
....guess I haven't changed too much...

then we come into the library and the lady goes
i'm only giving you a little over an hour because you're late.

...so, hows your day going?

all that aside. these past couple of weeks in Jerome have been the best.
me and texas walker get along SO good.
and she is pushing me outside my comfort zone with music
i secretly love it...but i hate her for it, too
she's currently trying to convince me to sing with her in church before she goes
& she's got a rockin' voice.
we'll see.
every week we go to a Nursing home for an hour an play piano for them
which means... IM PRACTICING AGAIN!!
funny thing?
this week I was flyin solo 'cause we were on exchanges and the other sister didn't play the piano....
so i sat down to start playin a hymn...
& they start singing with me in the distance
but i was not warmed up and slightly butchered a few parts of the song...
threw them off big time...
so they all went to sleep
and it was pretty much practice after that
hahahahaha they are the funniest group of people
and they are so happy when we come to play
i love it! i love playing again!
this week was really good.
we set a lot of baptism dates
JAKE is getting baptized in two weeks!
and then he is baptizing his daughter the next weekend!
so cool.
we have a sister duo taking lessons and they are the best.
one of the girls' name is miracle and I JUST LOVE HER
she wants to be a member... like yesterday.
she is so excited about everything we teach
and is so happy she found the gospel.
all she wants is to be a member so that she can be a missionary
and share it with as many people as she can!
people like her continue to inspire me and
renew my faith in this whole process.
speaking of.
one of my FAVORITE PEOPLE IN JEROME
has been coming to church for like 50 years
super active, pays his tithing, believes in everything
just won't get baptized.
we go over every week and read the BOM with him
this week was 2 Nephi 9
hahahahahahaha.
it was a super powerful chapter
esp as we were reading verses like:
23 And he commandeth all men that they must repent, and be baptized in his name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannot be saved in the kingdom of God.
granny (his wife) read that verse and
cross referenced the word "repent"
for like two minutes she sat there reading
every reference to the word "repent" in the index of her BOM
hahahaha it was hilarious.
she got baptized 50 years ago and is endowed
and JUST AMAZING.
her faith, patience, and love inspires me.

he tried to skip the next verse (24) but i called him out and made him go back and read it. lawlz. #sorryimnotsorry

after that, i would ask him different questions about the chapter
and he is KING of avoidance
buuuuuut i still invited him to be baptized
he said "yep. let's have dessert."
hahaha i stopped and was like "SAY WHAT?!"
he looked at me, smiled, and said
"i'm thinkin about it"
we'll take it! we'll see what happens.
regardless. i love him SO MUCH.

every time we leave his house
i shake his hand and say "love you"
(papa): "love you better"
(me): "love you best"

this week we just kept being in the
right place, at the right time.
and those are the best moments.
i always walk away from those random visits to people
reassured that He needs me and is guiding me
I know The Lord is directing this work
and if we tune in... he'll put us right where he NEEDS us to be.

love you all.

sister ramz

what is love?!

this week was tooooo good.
i just have the BEST feeling about jerome.
...i mean in the 5 days i've been here
i've already eaten:
deer jerky, goat meat, "elk balls" and "atomic buffalo turds"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
aaaaand to top it off,
me and sister walker ran into a physic who read our energies!
#missionlyfe
so needless to say, i think it's going to be a good six weeks.

okay so let me just update you on my week.
MONDAY, sister wright and i got to go to lunch with BRO WINMILL.
it was surreal. so good. so happy. couldn't wipe the smile off our faces
they are family!
and they are visiting Florida in February!
y'all need to hook up with them and take 'em out or something of sorts!

then we spent monday night with our college ward.
last FHE.... at the corn maze!
it was so much fun.
and we found like 2 new potential investigators #booya
i love love loved my college ward! so much!
then we spent all day tuesday running around
saying goodbyes! ahh i love so many people there!
its been a good run in twin falls.

but i've already fallen for JEROME
these people are so awesome.
its....a bit....smelly.... on this side of the canyon
but other then that i LOVE it here.
do y'all remember JAKE?
the guy who texted us and wanted to get baptized sooner then we planned?
...and then couldn't....?
HE IS IN MY AREA!
and about died when I knocked on his door.
hahahahaha its meant to be!
this is his second chance and i think he's ready this time
he was floored that i got transferred to jerome
he couldn't wait to bring his girls to church to see me
...sunday morning as they were getting ready
he said, "i've got a surprise for you"
and his oldest said, "what? sister ramsey is here?"
he was so annoyed, like 'who told you?!'
and she responded, "i've been praying she'd get come to jerome."
faith like a child, is REAL people.
made my heart happy to hear that.

i am SO HAPPY.
sister walker is the sweetest.
but she is going home at the end of this transfer </3
I LOVE HER
...we are going to make breakthroughs this transfer
and we are studying all about my favorite things in life
luuuurve. and people.
our bishop's wife told us about this personality test thing
hahahaha we spend all day classifying people as a "1", "2", "3", or "4"
i'm a total "1" and she is a "2"
which is a perfect balance! hurrah!
she is from Gilbert, Arizona
& just a babe.

i'm just grateful.
my heart is full.

I am SO SO grateful for the way the Atonement of Jesus Christ has
cleansed, purified, and enabled
me to know that I am a LOVED and FORGIVEN
DAUGHTER OF GOD.
I am grateful for the spiritual gifts that we all possess
that diversifies life and keeps us needing each other.
I am grateful for all the love that has surrounded me all throughout my life.
for the way it has transformed me and
taught me and opened my heart to infinite possibilities.
I'm forever grateful to my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ
who infuse my life with purpose, peace and love.
...it just keeps getting better.
LOVE YOU ALL.

make something happen

are you as happy as i am about conference?
the entire time all i could think was..
this is going too fast!

...which is how i feel about everything
i wish i had my notes close by!

KELSEY GOT BAPTIZED THIS WEEKEND.
it was absolutely beautiful
and there were 85+ people in attendance.
ahhhhhh. she is absolutely amazing
& full of so much
FAITH and COURAGE...
which is something I've been thinking about this week.
Sister Curtis (our mission president's wife)
said something at our MLC this week that iLoved

"hope is wishing something will happen
faith is believing something will happen
COURAGE is MAKING something happen."
this weekend we were so beautifully instructed by our leaders.
holland gets me. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
and jorg klebingat NAILED it. i loved his insights!

out of time.
love you all.

i'm feeling fiesty

satan is the most annoying person/ spirit/ fallen angel.....EXISTENCE....EVER.
he is working SO HARD on the people that we are working with.
and i hate how convincing he is.

yesterday, we showed up to church and one of our investigators told us she was rethinking baptism and asked us to not announce it over the pulpit. for the past two weeks she's been expressing concern about how she doesn't feel the spirit as strong as she used to...
The adversary is working so hard on her, and does on EVERYONE as soon as we make the choice to turn to the Savior. Whether it be when we decide its time to go back to church... time to talk to a bishop... time to be baptized... time to make temple covenants... time to be sealed as a family for time and all eternity... HE WORKS. to distract our lives, diminish our worth, and disillusion our minds.
but the spirit taught me this, yesterday.

who has played the larger role in influencing your life, God or Satan? GOD. who has been there since the beginning... who has created you, LOVES YOU, and who will carry you through the eternities? GOD. who has helped you learn all that you have up to this point and sent His spirit to guide, comfort, and teach you? GOD. who loves you more then your own comprehension and wants your happiness to last forever? GOD.whose entire "work and [his] glory [is] to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man"?? GOD.
on the contrary...

who knows you're about to make binding covenants with your Heavenly Father that will lead you back to his presence and into eternal life? SATAN. who is freaking out over the influence you will be on your family and others, to help bring them unto the Savior and His gospel? SATAN. who is showing up SO LATE IN THE GAME and making you doubt and worry NOW? SATAN. who laughs at your misery and wants to see you fail? SATAN. who will leave you FLAT ON YOUR FACE when you fall into his traps? SATAN.
DO NOT LET HIM DECEIVE YOU.
don't let his lies discourage you
YOU KEEP ON.
and remember who is fighting for your happiness.
who has felt every pain.
who knows who you are
and what you are going through.
who has a plan for you...
who paid the price for you and for me.
who is our brother,
our friend,
our Advocate with the Father,
our Savior,
Jesus Christ.

my love for Him deepens every day that I'm here.
I know that He lives.
I know that this is His gospel.
I feel so lucky to be serving Him
and working to build up the kingdom.
nothing has required more of me and
i absolutely love it.

i love you all. i can't wait for this weekend.
general conference.
"its like a world series sorta thing"
...in my world.

remain rooted

did any of you get to watch the CES Fireside yesterday?
oh my.
it was sooooooooooooo good.
and made me homesick for the marriott center
i'm so grateful for this time to MISS BYU
i think it's going to make the time i have left there
so much sweeter.
after the fireside, i came home to maple donuts...
and that just took me to BYU football games and cougar tails
lawlz.
updates on my team please?

what did i LOVE from the fireside?
besides the whole thing?

he talked all about losing our lives for the Savior's sake. if there's anyone who is qualified to speak on that matter, it would be an apostle of the Lord. he said, speaking of sacrificing relationships that are dear to us because of our love for the Savior...
"the best way to LOVE them...is to continue to put the Savior first. if we cast ourselves adrift from the Lord, out of sympathy for loved ones who are suffering or distressed, then we lose the means by which we might have helped them. IF, however, we remain fulled rooted in faith in Christ, we're in a position both to receive and offer Divine help. When the moment comes that a beloved family member wants desperately to turn to the only true and lasting source of help, he or she will know who to turn to as a guide or companion."
stay true. stay loyal. i love the lord. i love all that He teaches me. i love the potential He sees in me. and i love who i am with Him.
this week was good. these weeks are flyyying.

love you all.
xoxo,
sister ramsey

soulHAPPY

ahhhh YOU GUYS.

remember how at one point in my life...
i thought i could write a better story?
almost convinced that my ending would be way better?
I'M SO GLAD I GAVE THE LORD A CHANCE.

my decision to stick with Him
was the best thing I've ever done.
if it weren't for Him
my heart wouldn't be this FULL.
i wouldn't have met so many people
who have changed my life for GOOD.

this week i met my soul sister
we passed by this beautiful home
and the family was outside, sitting in the front yard
and i had the thought, "talk to them"
i let sister wright drive to our investigator's house down the road
we went to check up on her and she was out for the night
so i suggested we walk down that particular road to meet that family.
BEST THING EVER.
we walked up and their dog greeted us...
i told them i thought their home was BEAUTIFUL (its seriously dreamy)
and their 10 year old girl ran up to me and said "thank you!!" and gave me a big hug.
we started talking to the mom and she was just the nicest lady ever...
asking all about us and our misisons.
then i noticed...she had a hidden dreads in her hair...
haha SOLD.
long story short. she ended up giving us a tour of her entire house.
it is A M A Z I N G.
i'm going back to take pics.
it was everything i never knew i wanted.
found my soul style.
she gave me one of her headbands because i mentioned in passing that i loved hers.
now we have matching ones.
we are going back to have a bon fire around their fire pit
and mayybe we can convince them to watch "Finding Faith in Christ" on their outdoor screen?
hahaha her and her husband were baptized when they were young
but since have had their names removed because they felt they joined for the wrong reasons
(they were both dating members...but then both broke up with those people and married each other)
they are the cutest family.
we're already planning rock climbing adventures for next summer?
i'm so happy utah is close to this place.
I LOVE THE PEOPLE HERE.

I'm just so grateful that the Lord is putting these people in my life
at a time when I am set apart to share the greatest message I know.
this is a sweet time in my life.
and i hate that it is flyyying.
we just started a new transfer this week.
another round with sister wright!
i just might kill her off ;)
she only has one more transfer after this!
weird.

life is so good.
we got a last minute temple trip this weekend
with one of sister wright's first converts from Burley!
it was awesome!!
i can't wait to go through with some of mine!
i just love the temple.
aaaand we are going tomorrow with our district.
so it should be a good week.

LOVE YOU ALL.

"...God is powerful to the fulfilling of all his words. For he will fulfil all his promises which he shall make unto you....
Teach them to never be weary of good works, but to be meek and lowly in heart; for such shall find rest to their souls."

fall is coming
which means winter is right around the corner!
how dis happen so fast?
i feel like it was just yesterday i was getting my
weird missionary tan lines...
ugh.
on the bright side...
that does mean CONFERENCE is coming.
and really nothing makes me happier.

this week was good.
we only have one more week in the transfer.
it seems time never slows down!
ya feeeel me?
i'm sure all you school kids (haha) know the feeling
HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL
hahaha i'm still giddy about that not being true for me
but it seems i've read a lot of speeches and talks this week
that mention BYU
and not going to lie...
i kinda miss it.
I'm so grateful for that University.
ahhh
aaaaaanyways.

this week was great.
i had interviews with president this week
so good.
i have so much respect for him...
it was just refreshing to visit with him and talk about the work!

and we had lots of teaching opportunities this week
and moments that made me feel fearless
I LOVE BEING HERE
i love bearing record of our Lord and Savior
i love Him and know that He lives
i'm so grateful for my time to serve.

our boy STEPHEN GOT BAPTIZED this weekend!
our college 2nd ward has been SUCH an amazing support to him
i was worried there wouldn't be a ton of people there
because the ward went white water rafting earlier that day
but there wasn't an open seat in the room.
it was so cool!
he has changed SO MUCH since I first met him a couple months ago!
YAY for THE RESTORED GOSPEL!
he looks super excited in that pic riight?
ha. thats stephen for ya.

we also  got to participate in an EFY last week
i feel like that needs to be my calling in life.
SIGN ME UP YO.
i love the spirit of efy
and i just LOVE being a missionary right now.
I'm so grateful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know He lives and I love sharing that message with others every day. This mission is shaping my eternity and I'm so grateful to be here. I'm so happy. LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL.

when is RIGHT its WRIGHT

there is literally nothing better then a mission
i don't even know how i will ever be able to explain what these 18 months are doing for my life
i wouldn't trade this time for the world.

TRAVIS AND ANDREA PIERCE
are my favorite people in the world.
i have never seem anyone truly embrace the gospel the way he is.
he is so excited about it...
yesterday we were at his house and he told us that his non-member friend was over the other day and he told him all about the things that he was learning and his experience and how he knows without a doubt it's all true. he said, "i just feel so energized... i want to share it with everyone i know. i just wish i could bottle up this feeling and give it to people to drink. is that how you ladies feel?" hahaha YES. the gospel is the best.

aaaaaaaaaalso. found out last night that i'm going to be transferred.
to the WEST SIDE of twin
with ma giiiiiirl SISTER WRIGHT
round two baby.

I'm so so excited for everything that's to come this transfer.
suuuuuuuper sad that I won't be around for Travis's baptism BUT
i know i'm keeping in touch with them forever.
ahf;ldaksjfdl;sakjfljk
IM SO HAPPY.

and sad. to be leaving my area
because I LOVE THESE PEOPLE.
but i never doubt transfers.
the Lord always puts me wright where He needs me.
and for that...i'm so grateful!

LOVE YOU ALL.
theres a million people here and talking
and sister BLY IS BACK AND IN MY ZONE

#thestruggle

is there anything worse then being sick on your mission?
nope.
literally sunday to sunday.
the cool thing?
it would hit me the worst in the night...
up all night...
sleep in...
stable enough to work in the evenings
with the false idea i'm better
come home?
death.
repeat.

so lifes a peach.
i also lost my memory card this week.
with so many cute pictures from our hike last week!
ugh;alkfdjl;aksj

best part of the week?
Elder McQueen let me drive the MISSION
2013 Chevy Silverado Truck
hahahahaha
NO ONE will understand how much i love him!
we had to bring in our jeep because other sisters needed to borrow it
i thought we'd be car less
and he switched me keys and said
"don't scratch it."
i said "scratch what??"
he said "the chevy"
#WUT
hahahaha NO missionaries drive that truck. ever.
i started freaking out and laughing and he said
"only for you sister ramsey!!"
he is my favorite.

i'm outta time.
we crashed a wedding this week.

aaaand i gained an even stronger testimony of the priesthood.
our bishop gave me a blessing this week
and after i took a nap that day,
all my nausea was gone and i was able to work!
i love the work.
we are busy and happy.

LOVE YOU ALL.

xoxo, sis ramz

ps. welcome home sammyyyyy!!!!!!!!! ahhhh! i'm dying you're home!

best. week. EVER.

a;lkdfjalsk;jdfl;aksdj
where do i even begin?
i've never been so happy

TRAVIS (our super awesome inv) set a baptismal date this week!
july 26th
which is two days after transfers
sooooooooo i hope nothing happens
i just LOVE their family
and they just bought the cutest puppy ever.
i'm obsessed. remember nelly? oh i still miss her.
#soulmatedog

he came to church for the first time yesterday
and he was freaking out
he was raised to be scared of mormons
literally was so sketched out by everything...
he thought the Young Men at the chapel doors were bouncers
and that he was going to get locked in for 3 hours...
he thought the sacrament table
was a COFFIN....
he said he was waiting the entire time
for a flag with Joseph Smith's face on it
to drop down and for us to start chanting...
HAHAHAHAHAHA SO FUNNY.
there were so many things that he was worried about
but he just has the best heart ever

i could literally write so much about this week
it was seriously the best
for SO many reasons.
but my district is yelling at me to get off
we're going to shoshone falls

i hope you all had the best week
happy fourth
i love this country
i love this work
i love YOU

we're in it for the LONG HAUL

someone sent this to me and i just feel like there's so much TRUTH in his statement

The effort has been there. Now all of a sudden the performance is matching it. We're no stranger to comebacks. We're in it for the long haul

"we are no stranger to comebacks.
we're in it for the long haul."
#YES.
joe maddon just GETS IT.
the rays are no doubt my favorite mlb organization.
i just love this.

as members of Christ's church...
WE are no stranger to comebacks
#hellorepentance
and WE are definitely in it for the LONG HAUL.
#eternityWASSUP

...so are our efforts matching our performance??
yesterday in church, one of the speakers said:

"the phrase, "it's the thought that counts.."
counts for nothing in the Kingdom of God...
the thought, alone, will do us no good if it isn't coupled with action."

you know where you're at.
pray about if it's where He wants you to be.
I know through the Atonement of Christ
we can be cleansed from sin,
freed from burdens,
and FULL OF HIS LOVE.

this week was super crazy.
last saturday, we contacted this one referral from bishop
and had a great conversation with this guy about our beliefs
he said he was more interested now, then ever...
BUUUUUT he wouldn't let us make a return appointment.
he said "i just wanna read the book first and talk to my wife" (she's a member)
so we gave him a Book of Mormon and our number and left
...pretty typical. suuper awesome. no commitment.

sunday rolls around and after our fireside with the youth...
we had 3 voicemails....
ONE OF THEM WAS HIS WIFE.
she told us they want to meet with us!!
ahhh!! "we neva think dis would happen fo yew!" (**name that movie)
SO we went back and it was so awesome.
he is soo prepared.
literally asked questions from EVERY lesson and is super excited to learn
we taught most of the first lesson and invited him to be baptized and he said yes!
just hearing about his experiences in life and how it's all lead him here...

God is in the details of our lives.
of that i am sure.

I'm grateful for all of you.
YOU are the details of my life that make me so happy.
this gospel inspires me.
& sharing it deepens my love for it.

we aaaaalso got to go to the temple this week.
need i say more?
i. am. so. happy.
